RECORDING HELP
Record Your Screen with Audio
Microphone narration and sound from a shared tab are separate inputs. Enable the ones you need, then make a short test to check both.
Choose the sound you want
Turn on Microphone for your own voice. Turn on Tab / computer audio for sound coming from the tab, window or screen you share. You can use either input or both.
For an external microphone, expand Choose microphone / camera and refresh the device list. Allow the microphone prompt, then select the microphone you intend to use. This check stops device access after the list loads.
Allow audio in the sharing dialog
Click Start recording and select the source in your browser’s sharing dialog. If it offers an audio-sharing checkbox, enable it. Turning on the website’s audio option does not turn on that checkbox for you.
A browser tab can be a useful first test when recording a website with sound. Audio options for tabs, windows and entire screens vary across browsers and operating systems. If no shared audio track is returned, the recorder shows a notice.
Check the microphone while recording
Look at the microphone level meter and say a few words. Mute microphone silences your microphone in the recording while keeping the screen capture running. Shared source audio continues when the microphone is muted. Click Unmute microphone to restore narration.
The capture details show whether microphone and shared-audio tracks are connected. A connected track can still contain silence: check system volume, the selected input, physical mute switches and the sound in the source application.
Listen before recording a full session
Record ten seconds, stop, and play the preview. Check your voice and the source sound separately. Headphones help avoid feedback when the microphone picks up sound from your speakers.
If no computer audio is offered, try a different source or supported desktop browser. Microphone permission does not grant computer-audio capture. The recorder cannot override restrictions imposed by the browser, operating system or protected content.
Recording happens on your device. Make a short test, listen to the result, and keep a downloaded copy of anything you want to save.
