RECORDING HELP
Record Your Screen with a Webcam
Put yourself in a corner of the recording while you explain the screen. Webcam and screen video are combined locally in your browser.
Select a camera and corner
Enable Webcam overlay before starting. Choose bottom right, bottom left, top right or top left. Pick a corner that leaves important buttons, slide text and captions visible.
If you use more than one camera, expand Choose microphone / camera, refresh the device list and select the camera. The browser may ask permission to briefly access enabled devices so their names can be listed.
Allow both kinds of capture
Start recording and choose a screen, tab or window. Allow the requested camera and microphone permissions. A screen-sharing permission alone does not enable the webcam or microphone.
Place your camera at eye level with light in front of you. Close other programs that might be using the camera if the browser reports it is unavailable.
Keep the recorder visible
The overlay is drawn into a local canvas. Browsers can slow background tabs, so keep the recorder page visible beside the application you demonstrate when possible. A second monitor or side-by-side windows can help.
If the overlay is jerky, choose 720p and 30 fps, close demanding programs, or record without a webcam overlay. Resolution and frame rate are targets; the actual capture can differ.
Check the combined result
Record a short test, stop and play the preview. Check that your face is visible, narration is clear and the overlay leaves useful screen content unobstructed.
The download contains one combined video. The camera is not exported as a separate editable track. During recording or pause, Live webcam position moves the overlay to another corner. Hide webcam removes it from subsequent video frames and disables the camera track; Show webcam enables it again. These changes affect future recorded frames, not earlier footage.
Recording happens on your device. Make a short test, listen to the result, and keep a downloaded copy of anything you want to save.
