RECORDING HELP
Record a Presentation or Software Walkthrough
A focused source, a short outline and a quick test make a presentation easier to record and easier to follow.
Prepare what you will show
Open the application or presentation, increase text size if needed, and prepare a short outline. Close private documents and unnecessary tabs. Hide notifications and remove anything you do not want in the video.
Choose an application window when the demonstration stays in one program. Choose an entire screen when you need to move between applications. Check the selected source carefully in the browser’s sharing dialog.
Set up narration and saving
Use the optional recording name so the download is easy to recognize. For a typical demonstration, begin with 1080p, 30 fps and microphone narration. Add shared audio only when the demonstration needs it.
For a longer session, use Save directly to a file if that option is available. Browser-save mode keeps completed chunks locally and assembles a download when you finish, which can need substantial memory for a large video.
Record in manageable sections
Run a short test and listen to it before beginning the full presentation. Speak clearly and leave a brief pause between steps. Use Pause when you need to prepare the next section, and Resume when ready.
Mute microphone when you need a private moment without pausing the screen recording. Muting narration leaves any shared computer audio running. Keep the recorder page open throughout the session.
Finish and share the downloaded file
Click Stop & save and wait until the recording is ready. Play the preview to check the beginning, end, narration and screen content, then download a copy.
The tool does not create a public sharing link. You can send the downloaded video through your preferred file-sharing service. Downloading a file does not remove its browser-saved copy; use Remove if you want to clear that saved data.
Recording happens on your device. Make a short test, listen to the result, and keep a downloaded copy of anything you want to save.
